Talisa WIP
The second portrait for my upcoming project. I went to a lovely oil painting demo by a very talented portrait painter, and she used such a varied color palette that I was inspired to play around with color a lot in this piece. I’m using a lot of lavenders, periwinkles, golds, and magentas. I’m happy with how it’s coming along! This is also my first time working on a solid black background. it’s HARD!

Sketch WIP
A sketch of the lovely Ms. Pierre who’s agreed to model for my upcoming project. I’ve very excited to start painting this. Also, I highly recommend sketching with a light blue pencil. Someone recommended it to me a while back, and I’ve just recently gotten around to trying it. It’s great because you can so easily go over your initial lines (and mistakes!) with a darker color.
