Talisa is a 29 year old English teacher in Incheon, South Korea. She is passionate. She loves traveling, children, and new experiences. Growing up as the second child of two amazing parents, she cherishes the tight bonds of family and friendships. She is very passionate and vocal about her beliefs, and very loving towards those she holds in high regards. She is bold, loud, full of laughter, and happy with the way her life is going.
In this piece, I used freesia flowers for symbolism. Freesia of all colors symbolize altruism, which is something I gleaned from talking to her. The red variant however, also symbolizes passion- something else that stood out to me.
I played around with color in the skin tones a lot with this piece. I tried to incorporate a lot of nontraditional colors: periwinkles, magentas, and golds into her face on top of using a verdaccio technique as the base.
